Phantasy 100: PH41 – PH50
PH41Cowboy Rhythmbox 'We Got The Box' was their debut release on Phantasy, out on 10th November 2014 on 12" vinyl and copies are sold out. Erol Alkan: "I've known both Richard X and Nathan Gregory Wilkins since around 2000, and I'm a big fan of both. Richard's 7"s as Girls On Top were big records at Trash and at clubs elsewhere. Phantasy 100: PH31 – PH40
PH31 The 31st single came from Connan Mockasin, featuring a highlight of Connan’s recently released second album, Caramel. ‘I’m The Man, That Will Find You’ was recorded in a hotel room in Tokyo. Arriving on Phantasy with his debut single, ‘Summertime, Our League’ (PH11), the sometimes abstract music of Babe, Terror was investigated in depth and whipped into unexpected shapes by a golden class of remixers including Four Tet, Appleblim & Arkist. It was released on 12” orange splatter...
Listen: Erol Alkan 'Archway 1990-1991' Mix
"Originally recorded for the #LoveRecordStores campaign to help independent record stores, on Saturday 20th June, a day long online event to celebrate independent record stores. This 1 hour vinyl only mix is made up of the records I bought during 1990 to 1991 - my first exposure to the culture of record shops - recorded in a single take using only two Technics record decks and a mixer. Featuring music from some of the independent labels which helped shape my taste and influence my own label, Phantasy, such as Warp, Shut Up And Dance, Outer Rhythm, Play It Again Sam,...
